Easily convert your videos to DVD, VCD or SVCD

With so many movies watched on computers these days, sitting around the telly to watch a film or a show is becoming a thing of the past. If you want to reclaim your DVD player then Smart DVD Creator is a decent solution. The program lets you turn virtually any video into a DVD, VCD or SVCD and, as a result, transport your movies from the computer to the living room.

The application is a doddle to use since you only need to load a video, select the format which you want to save it as (not only DVD, VCD and SVCD but also AVI, MPEG, WMV or RM) then choose the quality of the outputted file. Selecting the quality of the video is done through a simple slider and the resulting video can be previewed easily via a pane on the Smart DVD Creator interface. There are lots of other adjustments you can make to the output file, making this a great tool for both beginners and seasoned DVD authors.

Great Software. I've been using this software for years on my Windows 98 and just loved it. Very easy to understand. I now purchased Windows 7, which I'm sad to say that the version of this software no longer works. But I love it sooooo much, that I'm going to upgrade to the Pro.I did read one review that said that it takes 5 hours to convert a 2 hour movie. That is correct, but there's aways something else we can do, while it's converting. And errors, well out of maybe 500 DVD's I've converted, there was about 7 that I had to restart. I did notice that it's better not to run to many computer programs when converting. Because this is usually when I would get an error message.

Not so much. Uses 100% of computer capacity. Converting a movie size file takes about 5 hours (or much more). If there is a problem you won't know about it until the file is 85% done and then all data is lost. So far I have a 66% fail rate. Can't say this was a good spend of money. Pros: When it works the output seems to be good quality Cons: takes too long, uses all computer capacity. Failures aren't identified until after a long period of system lock up and then all data is lost. Not a good value so far.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
